BioDisclaimer: This journal is part of the theatrical_muse community. Magik belongs to Marvel Comics and is used without permission for zero profit. Characterization: Illyana is based on RP canon, although I'm trying my damnedest to integrate 616 traits and events. Without smoking as much crack as Marvel did.
TM Bio:
Illyana Nikolievna Rasputina was born to a poor farming family in Russia. When she was a small child, her eldest brother Mikhail was killed as a result of anti-mutant laws, and her other brother Piotr shipped off to America courtesy of the Red Mafia.
When she was eleven years old, Illyana was taken to a local witch because her parents suspected her of having occult powers. The witch, Darya Martynov, became Illyana's teacher.
When she hit adolescence, Illyana manifested her mutant powers. They are highly unstable, and combined with her magic abilities they frequently cause her much mental stress. As a result, Illyana was home-schooled and rarely left her house.
Recently, grown increasingly frustrated with people ignoring her dire warnings concerning her brother,![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif)
tm_colossus, she transported both herself and Piotr to the future. There she unfortunately lost control of her abilities and teleported herself away... leaving Piotr alone.
As a result,erikscordelia arranged her passage to the United States, where she now attends Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

Illyana creates "stepping disks" that allow her to teleport through space and time. This power is not well-controlled, and her mental state is somewhat unbalanced as a result. These disks transport her first to an "otherplace" or limbo, and from there she moves to her destination. The period spent in this this limbo varies - it can be only for a second, or for days. Typically no time on earth passes regardless of how long she is in limbo.
There are THINGS in limbo. Not many of them are nice.
Luckily, neither is Illyana.
